DN Lawyers are dental claim lawyers specialising solely in dental negligence claims across the UK from our offices based in DN Lawyers are dental claim lawyers specialising solely in dental negligence claims across the UK from our offices based in Leeds and London where we represent patients throughout the country in pursuing dental negligence claims.  

This role offers an Assistant Solicitor to learn and grow with the department and eventually run a full  Dental Negligence claimant caseload with supervision from a supportive team. The right candidate will have litigation experience and a track record of running of claimant cases from start to finish, both pre and post issue and where needed will have the support of a team of paralegals.

The role will include but is not limited to:

• Reporting to the Partner
• Drafting letters of claim
• Instructing dental experts and attending conferences
• Assessing quantum in line with judicial guidelines
• Negotiating settlements with dental insurers
• Instructing counsel
• Attending conferences with counsel
• Attending Case Management Conferences and application hearings
• Drafting witness statements
• Preparing costs schedules and/or liaising with cost consultants
• Litigating cases to settlement or Trial

Personal Specification

• LLB Hons / BA Law Degree
• 1-3 years PQE considered with clinical negligence / small claims and fast track personal injury experience is essential
• Litigation experience and a confident communicator
• Client management skills
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
