Associate Solicitor

DN Lawyers are dental claim lawyers specialising solely in dental negligence claims across the UK from our offices based in Leeds and London where we represent patients throughout the country in pursuing dental negligence claims.

This role offers an Associate Solicitor to grow with the department and run a full Dental Negligence claimant caseload. The right candidate would have extensive litigation experience and a proven track record of running of claimant cases from start to finish, both pre and post issue and would need to supervise more junior members of the team.

The role will include but is not limited to:

• Supervision of assistant solicitors within the team
• Reporting to the Partner
• Drafting letters of claim
• Instructing dental experts and attending conferences
• Assessing quantum in line with judicial guidelines
• Negotiating settlements with dental insurers
• Instructing counsel
• Attending conferences with counsel
• Attending Case Management Conferences and application hearings
• Drafting witness statements
• Preparing costs schedules and/or liaising with cost consultants
• Litigating cases to settlement or Trial

Personal Specification

• LLB Hons / BA Law degree
• 4-7 years PQE considered with significant clinical negligence / small claims, fast track and multi-track personal injury experience is essential
• Litigation experience and a confident communicator
• Client management skills
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
